Took a walk around an abandoned factory near where I'm based to try out a Pentax 645 I picked up recently. Shot this one on a roll of Portra 400 and I was pretty pleased with how it came out.

Some old shots getting a workflow update. Having some fun with the 165mm leaf shutter and AF400T flash. I don't see many posts with this lens here.

Nice photo, Matt. Those curves from the water line make it!

Ice floes on the St Lawrence in winter. 645Z + A 75 mm f/2.8 @ f/16

All it takes is a couple of nights at minus 30 deg C to see those ice floes develop on the river.

Beautiful portraits ! You donīt see many images taken with that lens, because
there arenīt many of those lenses around. That is the only way to work around
the clumsy 1/30 sec. synch speed.

Superb portraits and models. Nice to see B&W images. The leaf shutter lens is interesting.

Thanks,

Cold and desolate. You've captured it well. Nice to photograph, but don't think I'd want to live in such a frigid climate.

Thanks for sharing,

Another workflow update. These ugly, rainy days are good for that. Summer time at the Seattle Sea Fair when it was fun.

Okay Tuco, here's the 165LS used in macro work because of its focal length and f/32 stop. Love the Ernostar design of this and the 200mm. I use it for landscapes as well but portraits rarely.

Nice. What extension tube did you use?

Thanks. I used the helicoid tube + the #2 tube. The 165 is my favorite lens for macro work but use the 90-180 zoom also. Both are proven.

I have the 165 LS and intended it for portraits, unfortunately the flash sync doesn't work and after trying, Eric couldn't fix it and sent it back to me. It sure is sharp though. I also have the helicoid tube, I'll have to try some macro with it as well.

Nice shots also!
