Prices of used 645 FA 80-160 mm f/4.5 zooms are really affordable on eBay.

I was browsing on eBay for Pentax 645 lenses last week and I noticed there were plenty of FA 80-160 mm f/4.5 zooms offered at around 150 - 200 $ in excellent condition.
The prices on this highly useful lens are ridiculously low, check this for yourself, guys.

Sunrise Hiking in HK

Took these panoramas at sunrise from a local mountain hike. The fog started clearing as the sun rose, but a heavy cloud bank on the eastern horizon blocked the actual sunrise.

@Peter Rockstroh and @Barondla thanks for the comments about the Starlings and the papaya. I'll try the setup with bananas and papaya to draw them out a bit.

645z with 6x7 55-100mm.

Good timing and composition on this one Ed. Placing the change of colour in the sky behind the bridge line was definitely not by accident.
Kind of you to notice, Theuns. I was happy that it worked out that way, but I must confess that there really was little choice in this, as I didn't have any opportunity to vary the altitude of my vantage point. Let's call it serendipity, but one I noticed and appreciated at the time 👍

Great work. The sheets of ice are a very eye-catching foreground feature.

Are there any advantages using a 645D over a Pentax K1 ? (40 Mpx vs 36 Mpx, 50 000 shutter actuations vs 300 000 shutter actuations, no PixelShift vs PixelShift, 1,4 Kg vs .925 Kg, choice of lenses, etc).

Regards

I have a shoot both. They are pretty different beasts.
On a purely technical numbers comparison there probably isn't a lot of reason to shoot the D.

But for the look, for the CCD color rendering, and for the slow and methodical nature of using it, the D is still in my rotation.

But if I am hiking far, need to shoot quickly, or I want those luxurious features like the tilt screen then I take the K-1.
