Pidgeon seen at my brother's birdfeeder.

645Z + FA 200 mm f/4 handheld. Fortunately the bird didn't move before I could shoot. I'm not a "birder", really, just a lucky photo.

Bird looks fine. Love that you are using the Z as a gigantic point & shoot! Watch out GR III.

Another shot from the canal...

GFX100s GF32 - 64 f/4

Desaturated by processing in Silver Efex and then reducing opacity to 75% - gives it a infrared feeling

Some from a much less redeveloped canal in South Wales - Neath Canal...

I found this tree interesting from this angle - even with the 23 f/4 it wasn't wide enough and would have been distorted, so did a vertical stitch of 6 shots:

Fuji GFX100s GF 32 - 64

1.

2. Clyne Lock

3.Same tree from behind water in the day GF 23 f/4

4. Approaching Aberdulais Basin, the end of the Canal

Doing some re-editing of images from last year.

Here is a panorama from a hike in November 2020 which was abt 20km along a mountain range. Sunrise had come and gone and the clouds moved in to create this scene with patches of shadow and highlights.

This image drew me in, because the longer I looked at it the more it felt as if I could be launching myself into it. During editing I also discovered a couple of buzzards circling.

Still checking the details, but it looks as if this one can print at +/-40 inch high by 100 inches wide.

Hope you enjoy this one as much as I do. Comments and critique are welcome....

Beautiful light and natural colors. I like that there is very little stuff, like tree branches, up real close detracting/distracting from the main subject. This image looks 3D and I value that greatly. Excellent job. Wish I were there.

I really like the layers and depth, @TDvN57. The light falling on the foreground is a nice contrast to the mysterious misty look in the distance.

How many images stitched?

What is the speck above the peak on the right?

Thank you for the comments @Barondla and @Mtkeller.

The spec on the right you refer to is one of four buzzards riding thermals. I counted a total of four of these birds of prey. On the jpg posted here I can only find three.

This is made up from about five or six panels if I recall correctly. I took a total of 15 frames to cover focus in near and distant objects as well, but using all of the frames produced a very flat image. Which is why I originally dropped this one from my selection. When I looked at the individual images again I selected only the few images that were really needed.

To my eye the composition has two shortcomings (a) the foreground across the image creates a barrier effect that blocks further interest, (b) the composition is unbalanced with prominent mountains on the left which then fades into the distance on the right.

Yet these two 'flaws' are what drew me in all the time. I'm sure there is some technical explanation which I achieved unintentionally.

I think this is one of those types of images that only comes to its intent if printed large, or viewed in full on a large screen.

Apologies for the rambling :-)
