Thank you for the compliment. You have a good question about a monochrome option. I did look at it once but the lack of color made the image look flat and I struggled to display the depth and size of the dunes.

Perhaps I will be able to adjust my eyes by starting the edit from scratch in B&W or near monochrome (ie. Drop the saturation to zero). Because once I see the image in color it is hard for me to see the monochrome potential.

Another project to add to my list.
Start with how they are actually, go high contrast B&W and then adjust blacks and whites from there. Even out exposure at the end if needed.

Don't be afraid to really mellow out the shadows and detail, focus on the lines and tonal graduations.

Thanks for the advice, I'll give it a try.

I had the Ensign Selfix 820 with Xpres 3.8/105mm. Nice camera. I just had a few too many so in the end it did not get used too much and I sell cameras which I do not use. But I do have fond memories of them.

Hi,

Wow. I've been to Indy a few times....Never saw that. Heck, never saw much besides the big track. Which is why I was going to Indy in the first place. Not as a spectator, though.

I have a few shots. Some with a Nikon D1 and D1H. Most with 135 format film. Not much time for shooting for me on any of those trips though. Too busy. The story of my life there....

I need to go back and Not Track and see some other things from the look of it.

Sunrise at Kings Park, Perth Western Aus

A fantastic sunrise a few mornings back at the Pool of Rememberance and Eternal Flame, Kings Park - "Let Silent Contemplation Be Your Offering".

First two taken with Pentax A 645 35mm on a Leaf Credo 60 digi back. The third is possibly my favourite, taken just after the first two using the Mamiya 55mm f2.8 ( I haven't adapted the Pentax D-FA 55m yet ).
