Love those ICMs, I've tried a few times and they always come out rubbish.

With a slightly longer exposure, here's one from Milford-on-sea last night with the A35/3.5 on GFX50R:

ICM's are easy - use a shutter speed between 1/2 to 2secs for woodland and move the camera by hand. Experiment and play.

Easy to do, I know, but to get amazing pics like your 4th & 6th ones not so easy..

Those were done with a vertical movement by hand. Think about where you want the picture to start, and end and move between the two points during exposure. It's an iterative process.

Was too lazy to go out today, seems the cat had the same idea. He woke up from his favourite sleeping pod and I could not get more than a yawn out of him.

These are from a couple of weeks ago on consecutive dayes. The first one is taken with Pentax 28-45mm at probably around 40mm, at John Oldham Park in Perth, shortly before sunset. The latter two are with the Mamiya 80mm, at James Mitchell Park shortly before sunrise, looking toward the CBD. There was some high cloud in the sky, which caught some nice colour. All photos taken using Leaf Credo 60. First and third are blends of two exposures.

Another few from a couple of weeks ago, these ones from the hills above Perth. I went up to Zig Zag road as the sun would be setting over the CBD while looking down through a corridor of trees. I killed time waiting by taking some snaps of what was obviously shaping up to be a great sunset. The first two are of the hairpin where I was waiting ( the reason it's called Zig Zag Road ), using the Pentax 28-45 at 28mm. The first shot has no perspective correction; the second does - the vignetting is also obvious in the first. The third is from the hillside after sunset, looking toward the CBD and using the Mamiya 80mm. All taken using the Leaf Credo 60. Third shot a blend of two exposures.

And lastly a couple of sunrises from Kings Park overlooking the Swan River and Perth. The first is from a few days ago, and is a blend of two photos - one for the forground and one for the mid-ground and sky. The second is this morning's sunrise, which turned out to be a really nice one, even with the thunderstorms and rain ( or despite them, perhaps ) moving through the area. It is a blend of two exposures for better dynamic range. Both were taken using the Mamiya 55mm and the Leaf Credo 60.

The park bench photo is wonderful. Could you explain how you chose the photo settings and blend them?

There wasn't anything very complicated about it, it's probably closer to Spray'n'pray and force of habit than anything deliberate. The shot wasn't pre-planned; I ran to the area from elsewhere in the park and was in the usual mindset mix of euphoria, adrenaline, and panic - so I don't think I was exactly experiencing clarity in the moment.

I just set up on the tripod in Aperture priority, selected f16 as it's a good balance, I was in a hurry, and didn't want to risk any depth of field issues or spending time focus stacking. Diffraction isn't a big deal at f16, and this lens only hits its stride beyond f11 anyway. I then just cycled through different shutter speeds by lowering the Exposure bias. If I knew how to use the Exposure Bracketing mode I would! I'm pretty sure it has one somewhere . . . .

I then selected two photos out of the bracket of five and made adjustments in Capture One. I chose the one with the highest exposure ( but a blown-out mid-sky ) and darker one with a bit of detail around the sun. I then overlaid them in Affinity Photo as TIFFs and manually painted the sky through as desired using a masked layer. Really only the sliver of sky at the horizon was used from the darker photo. Then into Capture One again with the merged TIFF to correct the keystoning and a few more tweaks, and then to Lightroom for some spot removal and final adjustments if needed.

I'm still getting used to the system. I've found that the highlight alarm on it is very touchy and possibly a bit too dramatic - but I'll take dramatic over casual. When the highlights are nearing whiteout, they gain a weird purple cast when you try to pull them back. On the other hand, the photo review on the digital back is alway much brighter than what I see on the computer screen later when I've uploaded the files, so I tend to underexpose everything through lack of experience - an even brighter photo would have been welcome in this situation. I need to learn to trust the histogram a bit more!

Here is a snip from Capture One showing the two files after adjusting but before blending. I have also included a shot from that "bracket" that was in-between the two and has not had any adjustments ( SOOC ).

Hope that explains it? I wasn't sure how indepth to go! If you want some further details or I've missed the question completely, please let me know
