Thanks, my friend! It felt weird to be back in the town I grew up in, and seeing it in this different way. I never thought of it like this when I lived there!

Some more impressions from Berlin.

#1 - Treptower Park - woodlands 645z + P67 55-100mm
#2 - Treptower Park - swans on the lake 645z + P67 55-100mm
#3 - Oberbaum Bridge - 645z + P67 165mm (f2.8) - This bridge was originally built in the late 1800, rebuilt a couple of times and served as one of the checkpoints between East and West Berlin. More here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oberbaum_Bridge

I love that shot of Oberbaum Bridge. Fascinating!

I was pretty thrilled to get another good sunrise today. I drove north to the park in the rain, but the precipitation passed and said rain clouds got some beautiful colour as they moved to the east while the sun rose.

All these shots are at Kings Park again, in Perth. They are in chronological order. All with Leaf Credo 60. All except the pano were taken using Pentax 28-45mm, the pano was taken using the Mamiya 55mm and is three shots stitched together. None are a single exposure; all the P28-45 shots are two exposures blended for dynamic range.

Built in 1968, 'Lady Cutler' worked hard in Sydney Harbour ferrying people around until she was decommissioned in 1991. Following a long and complex period, in which she changed hands more than once and received an extensive rebuild, she re-entered service in Melbourne in 2008. Here she is seen tied up in the Docklands area, with the Bolte Bridge in the background. It was so calm that even an exposure lasting several minutes is pin sharp!

Hi,

We get one in the pond in the backyard here on the farm. Actually, it was born here, so it is here several times a day. No sign of a mate though. I kinda hoped it would mate and nest here so we could get a family thing going on. But, then there are six other ponds nearby and a couple are where farmsteads used to be. So, who knows? Well, it knows, but it doesn't say much.

Anyway a very similar scene.

Mid-day hike around outskirts of Berlin

645z + P67 55-110mm - no tripod. The focus on #1 caught me a bit.

Sorry about the recent abundance of star trail images from me. It's just sort of worked out that way!

This one is a bit of a case study in handling extreme lighting conditions, while still capturing the stars. Aren't modern sensors amazing? Though quite a bit of processing care was needed to balance everything.
