Just had some sample RAWs sent to me from a 50sII and 100-200

Very very impressive lens to be honest. Extremely sharp wide open and even good in the corners too. In several classes above the Pentax 80-160 and as good as any 35mm 70-200 F2.8. A lens you could really rely on.

I will buy a 100s probably funds allowing with this lens and the 45-100.

I can see a lot of magenta cast in the rocks and water. Was it intentional in post processing or happened to be the choice of OOC Jpeg style for that image?

I think it was the ambient light color doing that. I shot in raw and developed it in Lightroom Classic using the Adobe Landscape profile which is more saturated than the default Adobe Color profile. No effort was made to change the color but just to illustrate it.

Indeed the light is fantastic, the clouds reflect onto the ground a lot of the reds from the sunset.

Been out of action due to Covid and a few other life challenges, but here's a shot I took during a recent trip to Vegas. In classic, understated Las Vegas style, here's the New York New York casino with star trails. The only time I have had to manage camera overheating when shooting a star shot!

Of the same subject with various focal lengths. Which is perfectly fine when you don't have to pay for digital 120 film rolls

Great shot, terrific as always. Saddened to hear it overheated.

You'll shift the covid in no times. The latest variant is nothing like the original strain in potency.

Are you seeing any PDAF striping or banding at all?

I can only see it being a matter of time before I succumb to the 100mp body

If you need only the focal lengths available for the mount, that 100Mp camera with the selection of aspect ratios is a great photographic tool. Not sure about the build quality / durability, but so all the raw files I've downloaded have very good quality. Except for the 100-200, I was very surprised that CA correction is not even necessary, there is none out of the box. That's a lot of money, but with full frame I have a complicated workflow (multi-shots, bracketing..), a pain in the neck for certain shooting situations, and hours of post processing , while I could send those 100Mp MFD files directly from the camera to the A1 printer, have the job done and nice in no time.
