price check on a few lenses please!

Hey Folks,

I have a decent sense of the worth of 35mm gear these days, but I'm new to the MF arena so I am in need of a little advice. I've done a little homework but would still like to defer to the experts.

I was travelling abroad recently and came across some new old stock 645 and 67 lenses. I didn't buy them on site, but wrote down the lens info and got back in touch with the vendor. I don't have a MF body at the moment, but with the looming 645D, should I snap up this lot of brand new glass?

A645 1.4x TC - $350
A645 2x TC - $95
A645 75/2.8 - $395
A645 55/2.8 - $150
A645 45/2.8 - $200
FA67 75/2.8 - $365

Thanks for your help!

If they are truly brand new - maybe. It all depends on what kind of condition it was stored in. I would not buy any of these unless I can fully inspect and test them.
A are non-AF version of the lenses. The 75 was the lowest cost lens compared to all the others so I am wondering about the asking price of it.
The 1.4X is used with the 300/4EDIF, might not work on others.
I have never heard of let alone seen a FA67 75/2.8.

Maybe there were mistakes when writing these down?

There is an f/2.8 AL 75mm lens for the P67. It has at least one aspherical element and is a rare lens. It was not called FA though. Its construction used 7 elements. Supposedly it is as sharp as the 75 f/4.5.

$365 new-- a good price.

Wow, if that is a 67 75mm f2.8 AL that is a good price. When I went shopping for a 75mm on my 67, I wanted that lens because of its 67mm filter size. I gave up and now have to carry yet another set of filters and lens hood.

You're right, I misread my handwriting. It is a 75/2.8 AL not an FA as I wrote previously. Explains why I couldn't find it in a google search Thanks for the heads up!
