We should take this thread to the next level and make it a sticky. How about it?

I think that's a bad idea.

The cartoon does feature an awful lot of fowl language, after all.

It's sad when a clever pun is completely missed.

Hi,

So before buying a k-x I wanted to look at a manual.
Either clicking the link here, or going directly on the pentax site, I get a "Done" page, but nothing else, i.e. no manual.

The full link looks like:
http://www.pentaximaging.com/images/temp/63399407595779261272600manual_k-x_en_official.pdf

I'm using the latest version of firefox, and pdf's from other sites (e.g. Canon) download fine.

Any suggestions?

Thanks
-tom

Perhaps it's time to add the manual for the K-5 and K-r to the list in the OP:

K-5: http://www.pentax.jp/english/support/man-pdf/k-5.pdf
K-r: http://www.pentax.jp/english/support/man-pdf/k-r.pdf

I had problems yesterday downloading from pentaximagingdotcom as well. And it's not the first time that I had problems with 'them'.

Thanks Parallax, but that's actually where I started before coming to this thread. Same symptom

Kind of puts me off buying a product if the company's website is not working for me .... the k-x looks like a GREAT deal, but even so it represents a lot of money for me and a leap into relatively unknown territory , so I'm a bit skittish ...
That's why I wanted to look at the manual, to be sure I would be getting what I think I would be getting

Thanks for the confirmation Sterretje, good to know it's not just me

I guess I'll try live chat when the holiday is over and they're back inn the office.
I'll post back here if the link gets resolved.

Most links posted above were to a temporary location and had gone bad.

This one works:

http://www.pentax.jp/english/support/man-pdf/k-x.pdf

I went ahead and fixed all bad links in the OP.
