Very interesting, thanks. However, while the K-5 is obviously superior to the K-7 like it was superior to the K20D, a comparison chart like this makes the changes from one generation to the next look fairly small. Evolution, not revolution.
For a Photographer the changes may be smaller than superior. Superior is a very strong word that may not apply to all photographers. Take the K-7. I was all excited when it was being introduced only to discover its CMOS sensor was inferior(?) to the K20D CMOS sensor (I know really it's fairly close). In any case my research and many others pros research did discover an increase in noise compared to the K20D. So for my shooting which is 90% non-action the K-7 was not an upgrade for me. My hands also preferred the K20D grip (with battery grip, which I could not try when I was trying out the K-7, so...).
Marketing wants you to think as you are. The next dSLR is superior. Truth is although the K-5 high ISO shots are great and this will probably be the one I get (I will still keep the K20D as a backup) its ISO3200 pics are not of the same quality as ISO400 it seems. There is noise and NR will reduce detail.
OK look at it this way. The 645D does 1.1fps, can't do ISO1600 anywhere near as good as the K20D, K-7 or K-5. Is it better or worse than the K-5? It depends on the photographer and their needs.
This chart sums it up nicely. Your paying for high ISO which you may or may not need, and tons of JPEG features. There was performance improvments such as the metering. Many shoot RAW as me. IS the K-5 a step up, yea this one seems to be. But was the K-7 superior to the K20D, not when I tried them for my needs. Thats why I waited. I got the 3 year warranty for the K20D, still have 17 months of warranty on my K20D

.
None of those cameras in USA English is superior to the other, it depends on the photographer. The chart is non-subjective and just shows you what you are really paying for. I don't get OOF shots with my K20D for my type shooting! I don't need ISO6400 unless its as clean as ISO100. Same with 645D buyers the IQ has to be the best for every pic.
Once you start thinking each camera that comes out is superior to the previous you are locked into the upgrade game of the manufacture. And you forget you can get equal pics from both except BIF I hope with the K-5

I hope it can track much better. But other than that, and high ISO shooting. The pics are up to the Photographer not the camera. Its designed to get into your wallet. A technology upgrade game.
