Some part moves in my new K7!

Hi, I am fresh new to DSLR. I just put my hands on my new K7 which arrived sometime today. I am so excited. But I found some part is moving inside the body when I flip the camera or shake it. I don't have experience with a DSLR before. I hope I am not so lucky to have a broken copy as my very first DSLR. Anybody who owns a K7 have the same thing? Thank you for your help in advance.

Except for the K110D (and possibly earlier models), I assume.

...I wouldn't advise making a habit of "shaking" your camera anyway.

Got you, guys. It feels much solid now, once I realize clunking is normal.

You picked a hell of a camera for someone with no experience. Now get ready to kiss all your money goodbye buying lenses for your new toy (ask me how I know that )

Welcome to the club..

Funny thing about this is that I've seen a number of threads asking about clunking noises and other strange movements, etc with a K7, but when I got mine, I intentionally listened / felt for strange movement, and mine seems a quiet if not quieter than my *istD.

That's what I was thinking when I was playing with my new K-7 last night. I considered asking why it's not clunking or buzzing or anything. I have stopped chuckling at those threads from new K10D, K20D and K-7 owners waiting for the battery to charge.

The shutter is so quiet (coming from the DS) that my wife does not think I am taking photos of her. I am keeping the DS but I know if I pick it up in a month, it's going to feel like Windows 3.1.

Do the SR cameras make the noise even when the SR switch is set to off? I'm assuming it does, since the whole system is electronic, but you never know

That was the same thing I thought coming from my *istD. I couldn't believe how quiet it was. I almost think it was quieter than my father's micro 4:3 camera, and his doesn't have a mirror.
