K-x cropping question

I just discovered how to crop photos in my kx. After cropping 10 to 15 pics I got a message on screen that says jpeg full and then it all of my pics disappear. The 1rst time it happened it also said card errror. I am using an 8 gig card so I dont see how it could fill the card up so fast. Do cropped pics take up that much space or did I have a card problem or a camera problem?

Perplexed...

I have no K-x, the problem may be internal RAM space.

What does the free image counter tell you the available space is now?

Then I wonder, why do you want to crop in camera with such a small screen to look at?
Why not take the image as it is and crop on your computer?

SD Card failures are common. I wouldn't be surprised if you have a bum card. Good indicators that you have a problem are: (1) you are using SD cards, (2) your camera tells you that you have a card problem.

I've had my share of cheap SD card failures. And I've had good SD card failures, too. So that's what I'd lean toward.

What brand and speed is your SDHC card?

Its a RAW 8 gig HC. Not sure of speed but its supposed to be pretty fast
