How to put K-X into a case?

Hello,

i am totally new on DSLR and i dont know how is the proper way to put one in a case!

My case is similar to this:

How should i put it? should i always leave the lens on the body? If i take them apart, i dont know how to squeeze them in the case!

Sorry for such a stupd question!

Yes definitely leave the lens on.

I could not see your case, but I use a Lowepro toploader zoom 1 (http://products.lowepro.com/product/Topload-Zoom-1,2051,8.htm). I always leave my lens on the camera when I pack them.

Before I pack the camera, I make sure that the camera is off and the cap is on the lens. In addition, with my DA18-250mm lens, I lock the zoom to avoid any creeping.

Note that I set te top-loader internal ribs to hold the camera weight and avoid putting un-necessary weight/stress on the lens and lens cap

Hope that the comment will help...

No picture of your bag...

It does not matter if the lens is on or off. Just use the front and rear caps on the lens, and the body cap on the body, and use a foam separator between them.

That's how I put my film SLR in my Lowepro off-trail 2 for the past 15 years or so. Including lens on the body.

OK I can see it now. Yes, leave the lens on. That way you can whip it out and start shooting immediately w/o having to fiddle with putting the lens on.

NaCl(and if it doesn't fit too good just give it a good stomp...just kidding)H2O
