Some help

Yes I was told to get the pentax f remote for my k100d came in the mail today found out it don't work for my camera. Which one do I use got the camera used so have no manual got the magic lantern guide no info

Have you put the camera in the mdoe where it "listens" to the remote (access it from the Fn menu)? Are you pinting the remote at the sensor on the front of the camera?

I'm lost

This is the genuine Pentax cable switch f shutter cable. The cable is about 2ft long and i can't seem to find out where it plugs into. I'm wandering if I got the wrong type stupid me oh well it was only 5 bucks from a ebay seller so no loss

Checking things out found out it's for the film cameras oh well sorry for the bother. It's better to be dumb foe a minute than all my life Thanks Anyway

Now I'm the one confused. "Pentax Remote Control F" is the name of the infrared remote control that works with your K100D. I was not aware there was a wired remote by such a similar name.

yes it's made for certain film bodys such as the PZ-1

Don't feel stupid - I might well have made exactly the same mistake because of the similarity in names!
