New K-7 -- Missing Menus

Hello Pentax Community,

I recieved a new K-7 yesterday and I discovered that I am missing tabs 3 & 4 on the camera menu. Tab 1 on the camera menu is grayed out and un-accessible.

Also I am missing the [c] custum menu tab completely, it doesn't exist.

I have updated the firmware from 1.0 to 1.3 and it is still the same.

Looking forward to your help and praying it's an easy fix!

There is no 1.3 firmware for the K-7- only 1.0.3. Hope you didn't install the wrong firmware on accident!

As far as your menus go, I'm not sure why they're grayed bout, but I know that some features aren't available when no lens is mounted, so make sure one is!

Thanks. I got the nameing convention wrong, I installed Firmware k7_e103w.exe, so it is as you say it should be. I have a few lenses from a 35mm camera that I am going to use and with each one the menus do not change. The menu that is grayed out contains the file format (raw, jpeg, etc), file size, shake, basic stuff that shouldn't be affected by lenses, I wouldn't think so anyway!

Sounds like your in the Green mode.

Switch the camera to Manual, Av, Sv, P, etc.

Hey, another Michigan Pentaxian and a K7 at that! Welcome to the club.. Somebody beat me to the answer already, just wanted to welcome you aboard (haven't used Green mode on Any of my cameras, a very useless feature as far as I'm concerned).
