Osawa K1000 lens on Kx

I searched the Lens review forum and didn't find anything. I have a K1000 with 3 lenses; an Osawa 28MM fixed, an 85-300 zoom with macro and a Pentax 50mm Fixed. As well as a Kalimar 2X Tele converter. Will these work the Pentax K-x?

I am looking to purchase one with the 18-55 zoom and use these others until I can save to get other lens options.

Thanks for your help.

YES!!! Any lens that works on your K1000 will work on a Kx. See the article Shooting Manual Lenses On Pentax dSLRs for help on using manual lenses. Welcome to the forums!

Welcome to the forums Rmagers!
As RioRico has already mentioned, if it mounts on the old Pentax film cameras, then it will mount on the old and new Pentax DSLR's.
You should know hot to use it though, so read up on the link that RioRico has also posted.
As long as we are on the subject of old lenses, then search for the "Ricoh pin" too so that an old lens doesn't get stuck on your K-x. Beware of the Ricoh pin!
Other than that..enjoy!

Thanks for the advise. I will certainly search "RICHO Pin" and see what to be aware of.

Thanks again.
