METZ 32 MZ-3 Flash on *ist DS?

Has anyone has experience using this flash? I gather it can be used on a *ist DS?

I notice it has a IR beam for AF, which is why I'm interested. Would US$50 be too much to pay? I already have a Pentax AF-280T. What do they compare?

I'm quite confident that it can be used, since the Metz-48 and 58 are also compatible. Haven't used it myself, though.

Adam, it's a very different model from the 48 AF-1 and 58 AF-1. This is an SCA adapter flash, rather than system-dedicated. This document outlines compatibility:

and it looks like it'd work with the SCA 3702 module, but you won't get P-TTL.
