This is my first appearance here, so it would be good to say Hi. Hi all

Actually I've got a very funny/strange problem. I was using my Samsung gx-20 camera about a year and the problem thing is that now I need money. I gotta cut something of. It can't be my car, so I was thinking about getting sold my gx-20 and buying a Pentax lower profile camera. I was thinking about K10d or K100d. The problem is I need money to pay for a car. Sorry for my English as I see now it s***s

So I need your help. Thanks

Sell some lenses and replace them with Takumars. Or look for a cheaper car.

I think selling your GX-20 and buying a second hand K10(0)D will not bring you a lot of money.

Just for curiosity sake, what exactly do you think you're going to get in a car by selling a 3 year old (in terms of technology) camera? Especially when you are going to have to pay nearly half or more to replace it with a K10d. As snarky as his answer may seem, I agree with Ira.. Find more money elsewhere if you can.

If you have a cell phone or cable, those would be 2 things to give up. Also cigarettes if you are a smoker.

In my opinion I'd your camera is not your lively hood then I would suggest that you sell the camera and not get a different one just yet. If it's just a hobby then just put it aside until your money problems are better. I'm guessing the car is for employment reasons so that should be priority one. But as for find better employment that is in all good advice. Just not always applicable.

Heres a plan for you or anyone else faced with money problems like yours:

Sell the camera
If applicable cancel your cable/satellite
If applicable reduce your cell phone plan to a talk or talk/text only plan
Spend the time you would have used to take pictures or watch TV to get a second job
Pay off any credit card debt
Pay off your car
Save some extra money as an emergency fund
Save money to buy a new camera
Quit the second job
Don't buy stuff you can't afford

I should do a tour of motivational financial seminars.
