top screen display

Help,

I have used my K20D for the last year. Since 4 AUG 10 with a Sigma 70-300 DL macro super lens mounted I get the following on the top display

Top LHS: F ---
Bottom RHS: 6

The other fields are blank and the shoot button does not actuate or the viewfinder show the focus screen despite having reset some controls (auto focus and some others).

Advices most welcome.

Set the Aperture ring on the back of the lens to "A"

That should solve the problem

Tried that a few times without success but now depressed the button again and all solved (BTW it took a tumble in the car).

BTW can I use a Sigma telecon (despite the differing opinions)

Sounds like we need to send you our stuff when it stops working, for you to fix.

Hope your referring to him mate.

BTW are you in the marine business as I'm half way through a Masters in maritime archaeo (already got my quals in Aboriginal heritage stuff) and run a small consultancy these parts.
