K-x bracketing and HDR limitations...

I have read quite a few threads about the limitations the K-X has when it comes to HDR and bracketing, namely no remote usage, only 3 images, no timer...after reading these threads I really never found a thread about getting around this or setting yourself up to succeed in spite of the limitations. I am hoping some of the people that use this feature regularly could fill us newbies in on getting the best pics possible...

I'm a newbie as well but as the timer issue was discussed in a previous thread I opened a few days ago I can tell you that from what I understand there's no real solution other than a tripod and a remote.
As someone recommended me there, I went to the K-x firmware suggestions thread and found many requests to be able to use the 2sec self timer when shooting HDR and also a request to add more bracketing steps (five instead of three). I added a request to enable the 2sec self timer when shooting on auto bracketing mode. Maybe someone is listening...

alright maybe I have misunderstood about the remote....I thought in order to use the remote you had to go into bulb mode. If that is correct bracketing will not work with bulb enabled. I have read more about bracketing than I have HDR...Is this the same or am I missing something??

You can use a remote while shooting an HDR shot, just turn on HDR, set the drive mode to remote and shoot. As for Exposure Bracketing though, you cannot use a remote for that because bracketing is considered a drive mode so you cannot have the camera set to 2 different drive modes.

I wasn't aware of that. It makes it even worse...
