third party flash use

As a newby to the forum and Pentax DSLR, I thank all for sharing info; I'm reposting my question here:

My current question is flash use with my K2000: can I safely use the Minolta auto360PX on the hotshoe (I'm guessing in Manual mode only), alone; and secondly, use that as a master to trigger my AF-560FGZ as wireless slave?

The auto360PX has a trigger voltage of 5.24V so it is safe to use on the hotshoe.

As far a wireless slave goes, I think the built in flash is the only way to trigger a slave on the K-m.
