Setting up a K-x kit

Just to add my 2c, being a melbournian myself, I find it is much easier to get Sigma 17-70 + sigma 70-300 apo than other combos and cheaper too. Also worth mentioning is that sigma 70-300 will give you 1:2 macro.

I have got sigma 10-20, 17-70 and 70-300 combo myself.

Forgot to add that if you shoot film, Sigma 70-300 APO can be used on film cameras. It is one of your DG lenses. I believe that Tamron 70-300 equivalent can be used on film cameras too.
