K100d...help!!!!

I RECENTLY PURCHASE A K100D, WITH 2 LENSES, AND I AM CONFUSED ABOUT WHAT TYPE OF LENSES ASIDE FROM WHAT I HAVE, WILL FIT ON THE CAMERA. LET'S SAY I WANTED A 300MM OR A 500MM LENS....IS IT A K MOUNT, AN AF MOUNT, KAF MOUNT????? I HAVE FOUND SOME GOOD DEALS ON EBAY, BUT HOW DO I KNOW WHICH ONES WILL FIT THE CAMERA I HAVE??? PLEASE HELP ME FIND MY WAY.

and

m42, Pentax 645, Pentax 67 using adapters

Sorry, caps lock was on...lol. So, all of those will fit the camera which i own.....that's alot of choices...cool. Is an adapter for the m42 hard to find?

KAF3 won't work on every lenses since the K100d does not allow SDM (ultrasonic AF motor).

The M42 adapter is available from Pentax, and is extensively discussed here on the Forum. Also, there is a lot of information here...

Adapters other than Pentax, especially with flanges, tend not to be able to focus to infinity.

is it K100D or K100D super ? the last one accepts SDM

Don't know about the k100d but I've recently determined that the k100d super doesn't like the features of the older power zoom lenses.

The K100D Super was the first DSLR to accept SDM lenses. The K100D does not.

You can edit your original comment to eliminate the caps lock, I suggest you do

.... Of that particular line. The K10d was the first to do SDM.
