Sorry to hijack this thread, and sorry if this question is deemed inappropriate, but I was wondering the following:

How much would one charge for portrait photos for a highschool/workplace?

I assume it depends on the volume of photos taken, but it would be nice to get a benchmark on pricing

The photos will be used for a department collage that will include every student in chemical engineering. The photos will be about 1 inch long.

Hi Miss Alex. Congratulations on your assignment. You must be very excited!
I've tried the film canister diffuser and it works as advertised. It cools off the flash and fills evenly. I do think that you should try to find some kind of light stand (an old floor lamp even) to add a little dimension. For a collage or mosaic, you might want saturated and contrasty.
I sometimes test shoot my daughters dolls to try different lighting.

I finally bought a diffuser: Puffer - Pop-Up Flash Diffuser - Featured Products. I tried it and got good results when using with my tamron 90mm at f2.8. I will make some tests this week in the same lightning conditions.
Thanks for everybody who helped me!
