Is $50 a good price for a Sigma EF-500st

I have no idea.

The way to find out is to google for SIGMA.EF-500ST and see prices and comments. Then search eBay cameras for EF-500ST and look at COMPLETED LISTINGS, to see what recent sale prices have been.
