frame and compose in B&W with K7

It has been suggested to me to frame and compose in B&W as a useful exercise. Am I missing something in the K7 manual (wouldn't be the first time!) that explains how to display LV in B&W?

I have no recollection of seeing it in the book either. What would be the point of using live view in BW anyway?

All you should need to do is change your image mode to B&W while (or before) using Live View. When not in any of the menus, just press the "right" button on the 4-way selector to enter the image tone selection. Then just change the tone to "BW" and you're set.

The process is described starting at page 205 in the manual.

I figured it out; really very simple - see page 82 in the book. Use the Custom Image button on the four way controller to choose BW. Ex Finn, I personally have never used LV in color or B&W but the exercise is designed to focus the photographer on composition without the distraction of color. Fewer parameters to deal may (or may not) prove useful. I'm willing to give it a try.
