Are you using aRgb (Adobe rgb) instead of srgb? Using argb causes washed out colors in many browsers.

Where are you uploading them to and what are you using to view them before and after the uploads?

In your camera a Canon? If so, this would be pretty much as expected.

Are you using any filters on your lens?

i think i am using argb, i'll have to switch and see if that helps.
it only happens when i upload them here. on flickr they look fine.
i use bridge and cs4.
i'm on a 'puter that doesn't have photos, but here's a link to one i posted recently:

the actual photo was this crazy bright aquamarine, which was really how it looked, and kinda the whole point of the pic.

Well, don't feel bad. I'd like to think I know a thing or two about photography, but sometimes the computer end makes me feel like someone's grandmother trying to make a VCR go.

I'll probably get all this stuff working by the time you can just tell an AI what you want, anyway.

Don't let our attachment system resize your photos, and make sure you always save them using the 'save for web' option in photo shop, etc.

If you follow those two simple rules, what you originally see will be what you get.

Switch from arge to srgb. You also can switch existing shots to srgb in PhotoShop.

Touche. Our attachment system does read exif, so definite try keeping that intact. Save for web is a foolproof way of getting the photo to look right, though, I guess.
