Pentax BG2 Grip

HI, I need a grip for my K10D and was wondering if any of the off brands are worth it. The prices are around $45, which is more than half of the OEM price. Any thoughts?

I believe that they're the same as the Pentax ones, except that they're not weather sealed/

Thanks, Adam. Another $90 or so for weather sealing is not worth it

FWIW, these turn up on ebay once in awhile for under $100.

I have the Travor brand grip for my K10D. My son bought it as a Christmas present from eBay. I think he paid about $45.

I do not have a genuine Pentax grip to compare to, but mine fits perfectly and has all the same controls and features that the genuine Pentax grip has. Some of the eBay grips have only the shutter button and lack the e-dials, etc.

My grip funtions perfectly in all respects. It has the storage for a spare memory card and the Pentax IR remote control.

All in all, I have been very happy with it. I agree that weather sealing is not worth the difference in price, to me.

Having both I've found that the quality of the non-Pentax grips is sub-par but usable.
