how do I stop the viewfinder switching off?

On a km/k2000..........I cant find it in the manual.........its driving me batty.......especially with manual lenses.
I know I am slow! but theres gotta be a way to at least slow it down? By time I have finished fiddling the view finder is turned off........
cheers

....or if it's like my cameras, you can just lightly touch the shutter button. That keeps the VF info active.
