Help - Macro Lens Question

I have a Pentax K100D Super and last year purchased a Sigma macro lens 1:3.5-5.6 but when I attach it to my camera it wont allow me to take a photo. I obviously need to adjust something somewhere but have no idea.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello Greenhorn

Could you please give a little more detail of which lens. What length lens.
That means is it 100mm, 17-70mm, etc etc. it will say on the lens. This would help a lot with replies.

It says 28-90mm

Put the aperture ring to "A" - that might do it!

If it doesn't have an "A" setting you may need to enable use of aperture rings in the custom menu.
