Unfortunately, here in Buenos Aires (Argentina) a net book costs about USD 600, nowadays has become fashion to get one and price starts to rise.
why not look at netbook prices in europe? with christmas coming there are lots of deals and you could look at at refurbished units as well they are often brand new just ex display and have a full warranty. for example
UK Refurbished Netbooks For Sale - Refurbished Netbook UK
ASUS Eee PC 2GB White Netbook - GRADE A1
new PC world have hundreds of stores all ovr england and scotland
Netbooks at PC World ? Netbooks & External Optical Drives online

It looks good but, as an Argentinian citizen, when I come back from aboard and pass through customs with a netbook (or any electronic device) that I haven't got when I leave the country I must pay taxes, which are 50% of the actual price of that piece of equipment (doesn't matter if it is refurbish, used or any other condition) So at the end it would be exactly the same as I had bought it at the local market

Anyway, Thank you very much for the suggestion and the links

Hello all,
In a two weeks’ time I’ll get my K7 + 18-55 mm kit lens + D-BG4 Grip. So excited about that!!!

But…….Because I’m going to Europe for holidays (Edinburgh, London, Berlin and Prague), I need your advice about battery and memory cards:

Cheers
You'll be glad of your K7's weatherproofing when you get here! Its been raining here in Blighty for 4 days solid! I daren't take my K-x outside

You only need one charger, have Energizer lithium's in reserve for the AA tray.
Enjoy your trip.
