Which books should i buy?

Hi everybody, I purchased a K200D last year. I have not had time to spend with it so I am still at the extreme beginner level. I would like to buy a couple of books to help me out with understanding my camera as well as one to understand photography. The two books I am looking at are,
1) David Bush Pentax K200D. or
2) Magic Lantern Pentax K200D
3) Bryan Peterson's understanding exposure.

What do you think. Is there maybe something better out there?

Thanks for your help.

Bryan Peterson's book is as good as any for a beginner's practical manual of photography. A couple of chapters may be outdated, but overall it's an excellent resource and reference book.

Magic Lantern is fine too, and geared specifically at ypur camera but I don't think that's necessary. Your manual should suffice and you'll soon get the hang of all the important features of your camera.

#3 gets my vote. Until you have a solid understanding of exposure, reading a camera manual will be gibberish.

Nietzsche - "Beyond Good and Evil"
Thoreau - "Walden"
Le Carre - "A Perfect Spy"
Chabon - "The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier & Clay"
Rubin - "Why Your World is About To Get A Whole Lot Smaller"

...oh, my apologies.

try googling luminous landscapes.

Depending on what you are looking for and what level you are at currently, I would recommend the Photographer's Eye by Michael Freeman and the Scott Kelby's digital photography series. Bryan Peterson's book is excellent as well.

While it may be sacrilegious, I would not recommend Ansel Adam's series, except as historical reading, unless you are deeply into shooting black and white.

Bryan peterson's book is very good, he talks about the real fundamentals once you grasp them, then you can get full worth of your manual/ magic lantern book. He has a new updated book for digital cameras.... Do not hesitate

I'll second Freeman and Kelby as worth a read... best off just sticking the camera in manual and going out for the day with 2 sets of spare batteries til you get a handle on it though really...
