How to use a manual 50mm lens on a pentax k-x?

Hi,

I just bought a Pentax k-x that came with a manual lens : pentax-m 50mm. I can't figure out how to use it, even though i set the camera on manual mode the F --- keeps on flashing.

Any tip?

You have to set the camera to "Permit use of Aperture ring". It should be the last option in the settings (maybe the custom settings) menu. The thread that Dave posted above will have all the details. Good luck and Enjoy.
