K-x - exif sharpness

I was looking at some RAW (DNG) shots I'd taken yesterday, and noticed that in Bridge (CS2) that the Exif value for sharpness was 'soft'. The Pentax software reports the value as -1. Some limited web research suggests that the legal values for sharpness are 0,1,2. Is Bridge simply misinterpreting a value that is never really set? I only ask as I think the images are a little soft and need some processing to sharpen them up.

Thanks
