School boy error!

Turning my K20 to green mode as I was taking action pics of 4x4's playing in the snow.... but forgetting to change the white balance from tungsten to daylight! Doh!

Did you shoot in Raw? If you did you can easily change the white balance in post production! I once left my K200D on 1600 iso and that is much harder to rectify...

For me, photography is a never-ending string of self-administered dope-slaps punctuated by dumb luck (often mistaken for, or passed off as, competence. ;~)

LOL... I nearly spat my coffee on the monitor, instead it's gone up mi nose!!!!

After decades of decent pics with point and shoot cameras, it's difficult now trying to remember everything... or maybe it's just my age!

Damian,
You can do it easily in Pentax Digital Camera Utility PDCU.

In PDCU, go to Laboratory Mode.

On the Top right, select the White Balance tab. Then Overide, and select what you want...

Interesting, never heard of Pentax Digital Camera Utility PDCU before, is it a free download, where can I get it from and most importantly, will it work on a Mac?

PDCU comes free with your Pentax dSLR camera. You will install the software from the CD-ROM, and later update the software from:
Digital Cameras and Accessories - Official PENTAX Imaging Web Site
Downloads are available for Windows (XP SP3, Vista, 7) and MacOS-X (10.4.11, 10.5, 10.6).

That's fantastic, thanks very much. I'll dig out the camera box later with all the gubbins in, there were a few CD's in there.

Green Mode doesn't save the RAW (PEF DNG) files. Only JPGs.

The WB is pretty simple to fix with JPGs as well. Open a file in your elements. Select the Curves adjustment (don't know where it is in elements). Pick the middle eye-dropper from the window that pops up, and select something in the frame that is either White, Gray, or Black. Pick different things until it looks close. Then use the same method for the rest of your photos.

The Pentax utility may be able to fix it too. Not sure, it crashes on every machine I've installed it on so I just leave it in the box.

That one really is kind of annoying, the WB settings. If you had to set WB with a big lever sticking out of the camera, I wouldn't complain.

The only thing I have ever caught with a fly rod is the tree behind me. Oh well, at my age stretching exercises are a good thing to do.
