Before I even begin to ask, I just want to thank everyone for such an informative forum. Before I made the jump from a psuedo-dSLR (my Canon S5is) to my K-X I did a LOT of research. Every road took me back to Pentax and from there most (if not all) of my questions were answered on PentaxForums. Thank you all for making your wealth of knowledge available to people like me, who are just discovering a fondness for photography's finer points.

As I mentioned, I recently purchased a K-X and am learning the dSLR ropes. I know that Pentax SLR lenses fit on many (if not all) Pentax dSLR camera bodies, some with limited capabilities (no autofocus being the most common I've come across, but I digress). However, I came across a Sigma 60-200mm (75-300mm) and want to know if it's safe to put on my new camera body.

I've not been able to find information on this lens (in English) and wonder if it was only released in Europe. I've also read several articles which caution users about putting older lenses on a camera body as there are sometimes pins which fall into different divots and make the lens very difficult, if not impossible, to remove.

I know that this lens might also be crappy, but I'm learning and it was cheap!

There is a lot general of info about putting older lenses on Pentax bodies out there, but can't seem to find the right source for this specific info.

I'm not sure how to delete my question - but I tried to simply seat the lens on the body, just to see how it'd fit, and it doesn't even want to fully seat. So, wondering if I'd be able to get it off is irrelevant!
