K7 and studio flash

Hi
I have an old set of Courtenay 1000 & 1000s flash heads which works fine with my Samsung gx10, but my K7 will not fire them at all, can some give me some feed back on why the K7 won't fire them
Tony

Reverse the polarity of the leads. This may involve cutting the wire and putting a 2 prong mains style (like for a plug in lamp) and extension cord socket onto your sync cord.
Pentax, in their wisdom, runs reverse polarity on their sync circuits.
I had to do this with the sync cables at the studio I work with before we went to radio triggers.
