blue bands in my IR

trying IR for the first time today, but some of the picture ended up with varying degrees of blue bands going through the frame, shot with M28 2.8 and A50 1.7 f 3.5-5.6 and exposure ~10-25sec in .DNG what might be the cause of this?
(the band are horizontal when camera is horizontal and vertical band when camera is vertical) some shots however, turn out perfect without bands with the same exact setting and location/subject. filter is Hoya R72 52mm

Make sure you are blocking the light from entering through the eyepiece. It can cause banding like this.
