When is the best time to buy a lens?

now... if you wait the price just gonna drive up... lens prices have been going up steadily and not coming back down.

Hmm.. I bought a lens from a friend.. I got it really cheap because he really in need for cash.. So, from that time I keep a good eye on any 'cash hungry faces' friend of mine

i think that's kindda bad lol, i never buy/sell stuff to friends... it's just too complicated.
