K20D doesn't shoot sometimes

Can anybody tell me what wrong is with my K20D ? From time to time my camera do this instead of taking a picture.... I have latest firmware 1.04 ... Im pretty pissed off with this... PLEASE HELP

Try using a different SD card- do you still get these?

The camera is in some way defective... it has never happened on my K20D

wait, I think I see an image of Noah's Ark in there. Could it be picking up psychic vibrations from the biblical dimension? Or did you accidently snap a high speed shot of the test pattern on your TV showing each scan line individually?

Sorry, couldn't resist.

Leave to Adam to actually be helpful, good point Adam, I should thought of it.

Yeah man... u got it U know how frustrating this can be? I almost throw my camera from Angeles Landings when it stopped shooting at that beautiful place
Only thing that help is remove and insert battery...sometimes I have to do it like 20 times!!!

I tried severel SDs and still same... make no difference.

Actually it Did take a photo. Just not the one you thought it did (not being facetious). Does the RAW PEF (or DNG) generate this Too, in post processing software?

Well I shoot in PEF ( mostly ) but the problem remains when I shoot jpg. Camera does this about every 50-100 pics... then I have to remove battery (sometimes several times) and every picture is little bit different

Download and flash it with a new copy of 1.04. Its worth a shot before you send it in for a repair estimate.
