My K7 broke?

I've had my K7 for almost a year now, and been loving it! Today I took the camera out to do some shooting and the shutter sticks open..forever! I have to shut it down and take out the battery to get it to close. Put the battery back in, turn it on, take picture...shutter stays open. Anyone had this happen? Battery is fully charged, but I tried another one just in case. Also reset camera. Nothing helps .

Help!

Jamie

What settings are you using? Its not set up for a 30 sec exposure or something easy like that, is it? You could always reset the camera to factory defaults and see if that fixes anything.

I agree, it sounds a great deal like you're somehow exposing for a really long timed exposure. Check your exposure mode and as suggested, you can eliminate all "user introduced" possibilities by setting all your settings back to defaults. But before you do that, check your exposure settings.

Good luck.

broke

I did a full reset already, no change. I'll check my exposure mode again, but I'm pretty sure its not that.

thanks

if you did a full reset and that wasn't it what was the meter reading before the exposure (it may be an issue with the meter)
If the meter reading seems right try using a couple of different shutter speeds, clean the contacts on the body/lens
if this doesn't seem to resolve it it is a service issue i'm sorry to say
