k7 and firmware -LV acting up

Hi,
Just updated my k7 with the latest firmware ( I'm a few behind), and know I notice when I focus with live view, the screen goes blank for about 1-2 seconds, then shows two green boxes ( I assume that is your focus points). Does anyone else have this? If so, is there a way to get rid of it? I use a lot of tak manual lens, and the blank then on screen is driving me nuts.
Any advice is appreciated.

Thanks

From page 157 of the manual: Go to the Rec. Mode 3 menu, select Live View, select Autofocus Mode, then choose Phase Difference.
