K5 battery charger questions

First is the battery and charger equivalent for the K5 and K7?

Second, my battery is reading about 1/2 charged in the camera. When I put it in the charger, the light on the charger turned green. I thought that it would be initially Red and then turn Green once fully charged....

Yes, they are the same battery and charger for the K-5 and K-7. When you put the battery in, it turns green signifying that the battery is charging. Once the battery is charged, the light goes out.

Both the K-7 and K-5 come with the same battery charger, the D-BC90, and both cameras use the D-LI90 battery.
