How to Determine K20D Shutter Count on Mac

Howdy-

I've never downloaded software for shutter count or determined shutter count in any way, but would like to for my K20D and K200D.

Can anyone recommend a place to learn how, from the very beginning? For example, what software to download, then what?

I don't know of any software on the mac capable of this. So I use this: Check shutter count online - My Shutter Count.com

The best software is Photome (PhotoME - Exif, IPTC & ICC Metadata Editor). Photome is a freeware for Windows that gives you the full EXIF details.

Among the EXIF data, you will find the shutter count.

Simply, open a photo file with Photome and you will have all details of the photographs plus the shutter count.

A great utility.

I use exiftool for finding information such as that on MAC:

GraphicConverter by Lemkesoft has ExifTool built in.

Apple photo software - Mac picture editor, photo editor, image editor, graphics conversion

Open the last pic taken then select Get Info. Click on the ExifTool tab and scroll down a bit. Shutter Count should be right after SR Focal Length.
