I certainly will practice the manual techniques, Thanks to everyone for your inputs! I will be getting the camera tomorrow and also the WR kit lens from a member of the forum, I will post when I have tried the camera!

I have acquired my k7, and a kit lens from a forum member. I think I might be in love...the pictures from the pentax m 50mm f2 looks gorgeous, been using the green button, also sometimes focus trap, in actuality, the manual controls are alot easier like Wombat says.

In terms of the camera, it looks almost brand new and everything seems to be working in perfect order, there is a little cosmetic wear where the tripod mount is...but one can hardly notice without really squinting.

There is however a problem...well, not a problem i guess, but something i did not notice during the transaction...there seems to be a screw missing...right at the left side of the camera under the rubber mic cap, those little black ones..I can't imagine it having any affect on the picture making process, at most the WR becomes vulnerable, but i am not looking to bring this under abusive weather anytime soon...

Does anyone know where i can acquire a small black screw like the one on the k7s? I imagine they are not unique to the k7...i observed that i had similar screws on the p30 from 20 yrs ago, but I'm not about to take screws off another camera to cover this one I can't imagine finding them in hardware stores either...maybe Henry's will have something like this lying around?

I will start posting pictures when i have developed a little as a photographer, as photography is still fairly new to me, especially digital. I am looking forward to becoming an active member of this very friendly forum, and thanks again to those who gave me all the suggestions earlier.

One more question! the screen protector that's been on this k7 is home cut, and very bad cutting job at that...i think they might be for cellphones...can someone recommend a screen protector package for both the top and back lcd? something reasonably priced and sufficient enough in giving the lcds protection. Thanks!

Would I be able to just march in there and ask for a screw? or do i actually have to send in my camera?

Just called them, it seems I can go in or they can ship it to me...and they sell them in packages apparently...so i can't just get 1 and the person who answered the phone didn't know the pricing, she said they need to figure it out..hahaha, and they will call me back...hopefully the price is not ridiculous...
