Rain sleeve: useful?

Has anyone had experience with the OpTech "Rain sleeve"? I don't plan to go shooting in hurricanes, but if out hiking, etc. and a shower comes up, is this useful?

Thanks in advance,

It's useful if you don't have a WR camera or WR lenses. But I've seen much nicer ones available.

I keep a $0.50 disposable poncho in my bag. It's great for keeping me and my backpack dry, you can poke a hole through the front for the lens if you are shooting handheld, and the hood makes a great camera cover when shooting with a tripod.

Have used them and they work. They are cheap and it's, easy to have one in the bag since they take up very little space.
