No Lens In exif

I have had my K-r for 2 weeks and have been experimenting with lenses. The thing which is bothering me is that the "Lens Type" in the EXTF file is blank when I am using my DA L 55-300. All the other lenses I fry leave at least some sort of type (M or A or FA or DA) just this lens is blank. The other info such as focal length, F# etc. is there.

Anyone have any idea what is wrong?

The Pentax software probably hasn't been updated to reflect the lens. If you're using third-party RAW converters, then it's probably an issue on their part and an update should eventually fix it.

I never had it show up on my Kx. Don't know why.

It shows up with my K7. It doesn't show in the 'Properties' from Internet Explorer, but it does show in the GUI for EXIFTool, and in Bridge.
