macro?

had my kx for a few months but its been to cold to get out and do much with it.when weather gets nice would like to try some macro.i can get a SMCP FA 100MM f/3.5 macro lens brand new for $200.00 can anyone tell me is the price right,is this a good lens .i'm new to dslr so have no idea.did some searches but found nothing on this lens.thanks
