50mm A 1:1.7 with K100D

I can't seem to get the lens to autofocus. I have the setting on the side of the camera on "AF" but I have to manually turn the lens to focus. What am I doing wrong?

The lens you mention is not an auto-focus lens.

You will have to focus manually.
