KD100 + Pentax 18-135mm lens

I just bought a a new 18-135mm digital lens for my KD100. I had been using an old 28-200 optical lens. The problem that I am having is that I cannot get the autofocus to work at all on the new lens, but it still works on my old optical lens fine. Anyone have any ideas on how I troubleshoot this issue? I cannot find documentation that deals with the matter. Thanks in advance.

Hi, if i remember right the new 18-135 only has autofocus (SDM) in the lens. The K100D dont support that. The K100Ds and newer cameras support SDM.

I do believe that is correct. The K100D only has a screwdrive AF system and the 18-135 has no screwdrive.
